Kurt & Kinneret

The One With The Yellow Shoes Continued! And the shoes made another appearance, this time under a fabulous wedding gown.

Talk about a party. This wedding was an authentic Israeli style wedding, complete with belly-dancers, traditional sounding of the Shofar (trumpeting ram-horns), a decadent middle-eastern dessert table, drums, and even a hookah lounge. It took place at one of the best wedding venues in California: The Hotel Maya, Long Beach. The modern, colorful decor provided the most amazing backdrop for these shots.

The party lasted well into the night. The colorful lights, the beating of the drums, the traditional dancing, and the sweet smokey aroma from the hookahs were enough to make anyone leave in a dreamy, love-filled haze.

I just had to sneak this one in there. How cute are those bridesmaids dresses? And they have POCKETS. Genius.

That’s the first time Kurt saw Kinneret in her gown. Awww…

This shot rocks my socks. My husband is such an amazing photographer.

That’s the Queen Mary in the background…
Just as the sun set and night started to fall, the bride walked down the aisle with her mother and father, with the twinkling city lights as a backdrop.

This couple has been together for 10 years. They really grew up together.

It’s Party Time! The colorful lights, the beating of the drums, the traditional dancing, and the sweet smokey aroma from the hookahs were enough to make anyone leave in a dreamy, love-filled haze.

They played a mean trick on this poor guy! It involved the garter, a blindfold, and a hairy leg! We’ll keep those pictures out of the public eye…

Traditional middle eastern dessert table! It’s hard not to eat the sweets when I’m working, but I did sneak a lavender flavored marzipan candy… so worth it.
